Colt Navy Revolvers

A) Colt Model 1861 Round Barrel Navy scarce .36 caliber revolver. All matching serial #s, manufactured 1862. Inspected grips (cartouche on one), Inspected parts ("S" behind trigger guard, "L" top of back strap, "C" on barrel left of wedge screw, "D" underneath barrel, "L" on cylinder, all nicely visible. "Colt's Patent" on frame, New York address on barrel, "Colt's Patent No. #" on cylinder and also "Engaged 16 May 1843". Scene itself is weak but with strong lines (ocean waves). Tight action. Smooth grey color. No pitting whatsoever. Brass is nicely aged. Has not been cleaned. Low four digit serial number. Very nice condition.....SOLD

B) Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver barrel marked "Address Col. Colt London". Very nice .36 caliber, 6-shot cylinder with lots of scene. 7 1/2" octagonal barrel. Iron grip straps. A real head turner!.....SOLD

C) Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver barrel marked "Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America". Very nice .36 caliber, 6-shot cylinder, 7 1/2" octagonal barrel. Brass gripstraps and trigger guard. Grips are one piece varnished walnut. Identified to "John A. Lee" (of Virginia).....SOLD

D) Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver barrel marked "Address Saml Colt New York City". Very nice smooth finish .36 caliber, 6-shot cylinder, 7 1/2" octagonal barrel. Brass gripstraps and trigger guard. Grips are ivory and highly desirable. Serial # dates to 1853. Attractive appearance.....$3275

E) This is a very nice M1851 Colt Navy martially marked "U.S." with the Hartford address. Both grips are cartouched and inspector marks are on the trigger guard, barrel, and cylinder. Year of manufacture is 1857, matching numbers, and it retains the cylinder scene. Serial # 79121. Tight action. Indexes perfectly. One of the best I have seen in a long time......$2,650

F) Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver, barrel marked "Address Col. Saml Colt New York U.S. America". Matching serial numbers, tight barrel and frame, nice smooth finish. Pistol comes with accoutrements as pictured and housed in a wooden case.....$2450

G) Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver .36 caliber scarce 4 screw variety. As referenced in Swayze's book page 73 and in Flayderman's book page 90. All matching numbers. Key variety in any '51 Navy collection.....$3495

H) Colt Model 1851 Navy Brevete as described in the chapter allotted to this model in Swayze's book. Cylinder marked "L. Ghaye". Proof marks on cylinder and barrel. Etched barrel address reads. " Address Saml Colt New York City". Cylinder scene exhibits remarkable detail. Perfect for completing any Colt '51 Navy collection.....$1750

K) M1851 Colt Navy .36 caliber with six matching numbers. All of the cylinder scene is present with a little wear. Year of manufacture is 1852. Marked "Colts Patent" on frame. New York address on barrel. Wedge is also numbered. Some silver on brass.....$1750

L) Model 1851 Colt Navy 4th Model .36 caliber, 1860 production, Hartford address on 7 1/2" octagonal barrel, tight action, strong spring, six shot cylinder, all matching numbers, Ivory grips, large rounded brass trigger guard.....SOLD
