SP1) Matted and framed photograph 10 3/8" x 12 1/4", ca. 1900. An early photograph of the famous painting titled "The Last Meeting" showing Lee and Jackson meeting before the Battle of Chancellorsville. Comes with provenance originally attached to back of an old frame (discarded) which states "Presented to H.S. Battle by Fontaine Broun, son of Major Broun who purchased Traveller for Gen. Lee". Also present is a printed and contemporary to the photograph article on Traveller 8 1/2" x 11" on which the provenance is penned. Blindstamp on mount reads "Leonard Gates Studio Charleston W. Va.". Antique frame retains wood slat back.....$SOLD
